Well, we are on the road....day one of 110 days in our rolling home, the Lundcruiser. I'm already beginning to worry about what I forgot, although it feels like we loaded a whole house. (How many pair of shoes should be packed for a 110 day trip?)
We went through the final checklist, filled the coffee pot, loaded the bikes, hooked up the truck and hit the road about 9:30 am. Spot was a nervous wreck---afraid we were going to leave without him. The departure went smoothly-- the rain stopped in time for the loading process, and a few neighbors stopped to wish us well.
It's hard to believe we're on our way. We often stop and pinch ourselves and are thankful to be able to experience a trip like this. It's our trip of a lifetime,
Our first destination is the Wisconsin state fairgrounds for the Milwaukee Indyfest. It's a weekend of racing at the famous Milwaukee Mile; however, we're pretending it's a Bon voyage party!
The skies are sunny and life is good!
