Blown Away!

Day 7 - Wednesday, June 18

We've been literally blown away by the wind gusts!  It's 88 degrees, and the wind cools down the hot air, but the wind gusts are huge (25 mph), and push you along as you walk.

We've also been blown away by the size of the event and the extent of seminars and information provided here at the FMCA convention.  Every session has been packed with people...200-300 people per session--standing room only in all of those that we attended.  Today I learned some new things at a blog seminar that I'll be trying out.
I also learned some interesting statistics...like 1 out of 12 households owns an rv.  And .5 million people live in their rv's full time (wonder how they manage closet space?) and 60% of rv owners travel with a pet!

To commemorate the 50th anniversary, there are several old motorhomes on display which are pretty cool.

It's good to know we're in the majority of rv'ers traveling with pets, so I thought I'd share some pictures of Spot enjoying his FMCA experience. He found a few things to keep him entertained.

Spot smiled when he saw the size of this pooper scooper!

Then, he found the train!

The exhibit of new motorhomes opens tonight, so we'll get to see the latest and greatest in rv-land.  Even after looking at new rv's, with new gadgets and decor, we normally end up still pleased with ours, and always feel good about coming back to our own Lundcruiser!

Who knew a RV convention could be so exciting/interesting?! Those Flexibles are pretty neat looking. Keep your eye out for a Cricket trailer and take note of any teardrops that would suit us!
