Lots of Miles....

 Friday-Saturday, August 5-6, 2022

We've spent the last two days driving along I-90, enjoying some beautiful and changing scenery along the way. We've driven over 2,500 miles since we left home on July 22!

On Friday, we were in three different states--Montana, Idaho and Washington.  What a contrast to driving along I-10 where it took us two days to get through Texas!
We travelled through squiggly roads, and two mountain passes with lots of elevation which made our ears pop as we passed through.  We were struck by the evergreen covered hills and mountains.  The trees are everywhere!
We saw this wildlife bridge that allows the animals to safely cross the road.  The area around it is fenced, which directs travel over the bridge rather than across the road.  What a great idea!  We remember seeing these bridges in Alaska on our travels there.

On Friday, we got the Traeger Grill going, and had chicken thighs and brussels sprouts...yummy!
On Saturday we landed at Lake Pleasant RV Park in Bothell, Washington, not too far from Seattle.  It's a big park with about 150 camping spots for campers and rv's.  (They don't allow tents.)  Like most of the parks we've been to, it is completely full...lucky we made reservations months ago.

The weather is beautiful...80's with a nice breeze.  It's a nice evening to sit outside and take a break from driving.  We won't leave here until Friday.   Stay tuned for more info on upcoming adventures!
